ui me enure community.Joseph Emenhiser and family, ’ ; who until recently lived near the 3 Boston store in Madison township, had a very narrow escape from in-’ stant death or serious injury at I Decatur last Saturday. It appears I that after doing their trading they i started for home and just as they t were crossing the C. A. R R, a 5 man with a wheel barrow came i running across the street whichi frightened the horse, causing it toI balk and hack up on the rail road 3 track. Meanwhile a freight train • that had been taking water, started 5 to back up and struck the buggy, 3 throwing it over on its side. Joe ' j managed to get out and caught the| horse but the top being up, it was 3 impossible for Mrs. Emenhiser to , get out as she had the little boy in ^ her lap. Meantime the horse drag-} ged the buggy around the street on its side quite a distance before it i' could be quieted enough to release_ j Mrs. Emenhiser and the child from j their perilous position. Strange toII say, none of them were injured and _ • nothing was broken save a few _ j spokes in one of the wheels.
