Students competing for awards in four classifications under two divisions exhibited 711 entries in the Science Fair in the High School gymnasium Saturday. The two divisions were bioiogical and physical, -with, classifications for junior and senior entries.Four place winners and a number of honorable mentions were named in each category, with first place in the senior division (grades 10 to 12) physical, going to Sammy Blalock, for an amateur radio transmitter.First place in the senior biological division was won by Diann Jl|i|Wfj^^t3Jiihit^Athe internal structure of a frog.In the junior division (grades 7 to 9; physical category, Collier Randolph won first place with his exhibit of a production and oil refinery plant.In the biological category, Junior division, an embalmed Texas Jack rabbit, exhibited by Roy Clark, won first place.First and second place winners in the four categories will be eligible for entry In the Regional Science Fair at Brownwood April 3-4.Winning a chance for a special award to be given at the Brown-wood science fair was Ernest Cathey. His entry, an electric generator, which won an honorable mention in the Winters show, will be exhibited at Brownwood, in competition for a special award for the outstanding exhibit by a sophomore or junior boy. The award given at' Brownwood will be a summer cruise with the U. S, Navy as a special guest.Other winners and entries were: Senior division (grades 10 to 12) physical:2.
