While there I met a few old friends of mine.I saw Betty Miller, now Mrs. Jack Hudson, working in a dry goods store as cashier. Her husband was the manager of the store. Other clerks in the store were Warren Attaway, head of the baby department, and Drayton Smiley, working at the music stand.After leaving the department store I decided I needed a little refreshment. I went to Bobbin's Drug Store. His wife, Marjorie White, took charge of the store since Paiul devoted most of his time to his French horn. Roy Benedict was soda jerker and Malcolm Chapman was the pharmacist. Henry Ingram and wife Mo-ye Dell Horton, are selling dogs to Wylie’s Rouse’s meat market. Elizabeth Manley is now aj tap dancer in Joe Mac Reynold’s Cafe. Johnnie Benton and Evelyn Matheson are car hops.The former Beulah Mae Derr is a beauty operator, anr her husband, Bruce Estoll, is at baiber, Hilda Stanley, and Mary iSmith, are nurses in the famous Cleon Bellomy's Baby Clinic.Vern Mitchell is proprietor of a service station; Gerald Bob Lanier is his assistant. Alvin Taylor and Lucy Reed, now man and wife are doing a trapeze act in the circus.
