Silver City, Alberta, April 1.--The citi zens of Silver City are men of determination, and the Dominion Government evidently understands so Inspector Gouine was gre his ticket of leave so earnestly that will probably not trouble our pioneers in. The petitions for a post-office, the lot of citizens to hold their lots already built upon, and to have the town-site sur veyed immediately, have been granted by the Government. For the purpose of dis cussing Silver City interests, a meeting of citizens was held on Saturday evening last. A committee was appointed to manage the city's interests. One of the resident sur veyors was appointed to manage the city’s interests. One of the resident surveyors was appointed to commence the survey as once. Every lot for one-half square mile is occupied by a finished or unfinished build ing, the latter only awaiting the arrival of lumber for completion. The city is spread ing as fast as buildings can be erected.
