The Bonham News of the 13th ult., says: A few days sincce Mrs Wm. M. Woods, of this city discovered a large centipede snug ly suspended in the cradle beside her sleeping infant. With re markable presence of mind she ejected the monster from his com fortable quarters with a table knife, which she happened to be using at the time. On Friday week Dr. George H. Walker, after a protracted and painful illness, died at Galveston. Dr. Walker was a graduate of Trinity College, Dublin, resided for many in Bossier parish, Loui siana, and had been living in Gal veston about a year. Alexander Hamilton, for merly Secretary of the Treasury, has the honor of being ano then to Hamilton Fish, the present Secretary of State.
