Mrs. Margaret EvansBeaten and RobbedMrs. Margaret Evans an old resident of this city and mother of Mrs. A. E. Arendt, was held up last Saturday evening on Glen avenue, and severely beaten and robbed. Mrs. Evans was on her way home about seven o’clock when a negro accosted her and beat her with his fists, knocking her down and taking her purse which contained two dollars in cash and a deposit check for thirty dollars. Mrs. Evans was severely bruised and suffered a nervous shock as a result of her experience.
