An Important Case to the Court of Appeals Affecting Interests In this County. Among the cases pending in the Court of Appeals, of particular interest to the public hereabouts, is the suit from thig county of John K. Koonts et, al., No. 4,135 equity. This cuit, which was insti tuted more than a year ago by John H. Koontz and others, heirs at law of David Koontz, deceased, against Margaret Koontz, widow, and the heiry at law of ยง lems Koontz and John H. C. Getty and wife, administrators of David Koontz, sought to obtain a decree of the circuit court for Allegany county for the sale of the real estate of said David, and to as sume jurisdiction of lis state and to ad minister the same; as also to require Mar garet A. Koontz, widow of Salem and her children, to wccount for lore sums of money, aggregating 310,000, claimed to have been advanced and loaned to them by the enid David, a wealthy bachelor, who lived in the family of his decesed brother, and who died about two years ago, leaving an estate estimated at H0, 009 large amount of testimony was taken and the case argued before Judge Stake, who filed an opinion, and subsequently en tered a decree therein, demising the bill, as to all of the allegations, excepting as to the sale of the real estate, which was not objected to by the defendants, and thus resulting in a decided legal victory to Margaret A. Koontz and her children; from the decree the defendants have ap pealed, and it is one of the most import ant cases which has been carried to higher courts from to county in years, J. W.S. Cochrane represents the plain tiffs, DeWarren H. Reynolds and Benj A. Richmond, all of the defendents except Mary CG. Getty and her husband adminis trators, who are represented by WW. C, Deveemon.1
