For a time the Carthusians pressed, but while displaying ill that cleverness for which they are justly famous their passing lacked its usual accuracy. In consequence the Casuals, on the vhole had the beet of the exchanges, A.Walters and Bray doing an immense amount of rork behind, the former's long kicking being of mmense service to his side. Henderson here broke away from a nice pass by McNab, and getting well up pot in a clinking shot, but Charsley saved grandly and ooolly kicked out. Soon after Elliott and Bryan worked the ball up finely, bnt Elliott’s centre was kicked away by Purvis. From a pass from McNab Henderson tried another long shot; which just went behind.Offside against Hallam gave the Arsenal another chanoe, but Henderson was tee fond of shooting at long range and again put over. Again the visitors went off with a rush, and Wiliams, rushing out te dear, kicked right on to Moberley.who brought the ball to his toe, and had nothing te do but tap into goal, thus putting Small Heath 3 up.
