Grouse, Secretary; Conrad Hill Alliance, with 24 members, W. A. Beck, President, and J. M. Riggins, Secretary; Indian Hill Alliance, with 25 members, Henry Swing, President, and Z. B. Tussey, Secretary; Mt. Pleasant Alliance, with 23 members, W. A. Lindsay, President, and T. A. Livingood, Secretary; Abbott’s Creek Alliance, with 17 members, J. A. Hedrick, President, and A. P. Long, Secretary; and Bethany Alliance, with 17 members, A. H. Yokely, President, and J. R. Ausburn, Secretary—nine new Alliances with a total membership to start with of 190. There are now in the county of Davidson twenty^ two Alliances, with the prospect of several more in the near future.
