Coal Bank.—Wo learn that; a coalbed has been discovered by one of our citizens, twelve miles east of town, on the Ohio and Mississippi railroad, whichit is thought will produce the best article ever brought to this market. A competent gentleman, who has mad? some examination of the locality, gives the opinion that the strata is between five and six feet thick. Another gentleman connected with the gas works of a distant city, pronounces a specimen shown him equal if not superior to Pitts-! burg coal.
