City rejects woman's plea to fix drainageWhen it rains, it floods, She said when it rains to any particularly at the house of MariaBosinger at 209 Avenue Des Parques in Venice. But Venice City Council won’t spend $5,000 to correct the woman’s drainage difficulties.Mrs. Bosinger came before city council on March 9 to ask that the city fathers correct her street.degree, water ponds on her property and makes it difficult to impossible to drive on the street or driveway. She noted that the water drains very slowly and is usually in place for several hours.City Manager Dale Rieth, after witnessing the ponding effect first hand, told council theengineering department could correct the problem, but said it would not be advisable. He noted that the city has several other areas where ponding occurs and property damage is possible. In Mrs. Bosinger*s case, no property damage occurs.
