Mr. and Mrs. Darry Barrett of Cotton Center on the birth of a daughter weighing 7 pounds 12 o ounces at 3:15 p.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Hospi tal. Mr. and Mrs. George Brown of Idalou on the birth of a daughter weighing ? pounds at 4:49 p.m. Thurs day in St. Mary’s Hospital. Mr. and Airs. Robert Netherland of Sudan on the birth of a son weighing 6 pounds 14 ounces at 5:29 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morrison of Reese AFB on the birth of a son weighing 8 pounds to 2 ounces at 3:35 a.m. today In St. Mary's Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Francisco Rivers of 2811 Erskine St. on the birth of a son weighing 5 pounds 2 ounces at 1:54a.m. today in St. Mary's Hospital. of the burglary. Among the items missing were four shotguns, a rifle, clothing, jew elry and golf clubs. According to Lane Anderson of 5705 2nd Place, about 500 adult magazines, valued at $1,000, were taken from The Last Book Store at 3203 34th St. Wednes day or Thursday. Reports indicated the Magazines were taken from a wooden cabinet at the front of the business after the rear door was kicked in. Gerald Gotcher of 1627 University Ave nue told officers no sign of forced entry was found at a 6302 Elgin Ave. apartment last week after someone made off with a stereo, $800 worth of records and tapes, two afghans and a metal detector. Jim Vasek of Shallowater said two $100 chain hoists were taken from Jim's Weld ing Service at 2222 Clovis Road sometime during the past three days, and Wayne Hartington of 5429 42nd St. said a $2,500 welder was taken from 5200 Ivory Ave. sometime during the past two weeks. Jimmy Ray Dewhre of Crosbyton and Francis Marcus Collier of Aledo told offi cers they lost $500 in cash and two watch es worth a total of $445 to two men at gunpoint in the parking lot of a club at 23rd Street and Fir Avenue about 6:15 a.m. Thursday. Dewbre and Collier said they had been shooting pool with the two men and had won about $100 from them. As Dewbre and Collier left the club, they said the men accosted them in the parking lot, with one of the men pulling a gun and de manding that they empty their pockets on the trunk of a car. One of the men put the valuables into a sack and the pair fled east on foot. Both men were described as black and in their middle 20s, with one of them said to be about 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. The oth er one was said to be about 5-10 and weighed 155 pounds. In another robbery report, Paul Shook of 2404 3rd Place told police he lost $10 to a man who had given him a title early Thursday morning. Shook said the man picked him up at 4th Street and Boston Avenue about 2 a.m. and drove to 23rd Street and Quaker Avenue, where the man pulled a chrome plated pistol and demanded Shook's money. The man was described as being in his early 20s, about 6 feet 2, with brown hair and a mustache. He was reportedly driv ing a white, late model Pontiac Grand Prix. Freddie Lee Thurman of 4516 44th St. complained that someone entered his house Wednesday night and punctured his $80 water bed. The water flowed onto a carpet, causing $200 damage. Thurman also said that one drain in a double sink in the kitchen had been plugged and the faucet turned on. The water, however, spilled over into the oth er sink and down the drain. In addition, Thurman said a box of his personal pap ers were scattered about his backyard. In a reported burglary, Terrell Evans of 408 Ave. W said someone broke into his car while it was parked at a local club about 2 a.m. Thursday. Evans told police a $225 CB radio, a $130 microphone, and a leather jacket worth $165 were stolen.
