Wilkins Theater for the Performing Arts of Kean College.The concert is sponsored by the music department and admission is free.Performances will be by the Brass Ensemble, Professor Tom Herron, director; the Woodwind Ensemble, Professor Lowell Zimmer, director; and guitar solos and duets by George Glock and Mark Liberto, students of Professor John Varner.Both ensembles have performed at the dedication of the Palmer Museum in Springfield.As part of the concert, Elaine Berkowitz ’76 willperform the First Movement of Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major with the Woodwind Ensemble, and James Banks will perform a recently composed selection for violin and Woodwind Ensemble, composed by Lowell Zimmer.The Brass Ensemble is one of the finest organizations of its kind and plays an extremely wide variety of music.
