Kelley Wins ScholarshipLinda Kcllev, a sophomore, was the winner of the “United Nations Pilgrimage for Youth** contest. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kelley of Rte. 5.Linda will leave for New York City on June 16 and return on June 22. Upon her return she will present talks to various organizations and eiubs about her experiences.Linda will listen to briefings about specialized agencies and departments, take a guided tour of the U.N. building, have interviews at headquarters of several U.N. nations and be a guest at the International House where graduate students of more than 60 nations live.in order to qualify for this contest. a student had to be 16 or 17 years old and be in a position to complete his sophomore or junior year in high school before the June trip.The person receiving the highest score on a written examination won the contest.The Independent Order of Odd Fellows sponsored this contest and will pay for the trip.In case Linda can not go on this tour, the student with the second highest score will go. The alternate is Joyce Sample, a junior. Joyce is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sample of Rte. 3.
