Died SaturdayJohn Thomas Nowlin, age 84 died in the home of his son in Smack-over Saturday 3:15 p.m. Mr. Nowlin was a resident of Calhoun Country until nine years-ago when he moved to Smackover and has been making his home there since. Mr. Nowlin was a member of the First Baptist Church of Norphlet.He is survived by his wife; six sons, Clarence of Smackover, Fred of Dallas, Huey Dean of El Paso, Gurvis of Dallas, Wyatt of Baton Rouge, La., and Elmer of Holland, Mo..Six daughters, Mrs. Walter Gar-boe of Lexington, Okla.; Mrs. Weldon McCann of Blytheville, Mrs. Engene Allen of Hampton, Mrs. Grady Nowlin of Hampton, Mrs. George Earhart of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Howard Holt of Concord, Calif. jFour brothers, Walter Nowlin of Hampton, Turner of Kingsland, Ben of Hampton and W. R. of Hampton; three sisters, Mrs. Etta Drum-, mond of Camden, Mrs. D. W. Riggs , of Bearden, Mrs. Ruth Martin of Eudora; 22 grandchildren and 12; | great grandchildren. !i Funeral services were held Monday at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope1 Church near Hampton with burial in New Hope cemetery.| Proctor Funeral Home was in charge.
