Aed211212nbf:The pupils of Benton 3 were quite an enthusiastic, crowd ton St Patricks day ‘when a spelling contest between the seventh and eighth grades of Benr ton 6 met at the local 7th and. 8th grades of Benton 3. The local spellers, were composed of Chester Fenlqn, f Burnetta Boyea, and Wilfred Couture.. b of, the the 7th grade and Catherine f Boyea, Lucille B onseore * Arthur Ben-lohj1 Ethel Trudo and Ethel Paradaie 1 of the 8th grade. The visiting vie-*; tors , under Miss Lucille Drusts, super-• vision Were composed of Hazel Mer-H chant, Levi Chasse, Ephraim Burdo,■t and Beulah Chasse 7th graders and ; Pearl Merchant, Esther Wixson andMargarite Q’Grady 8th graders.Grace Rohscofe and Alina Merchant of Cheboygn High visited our school most of, the day. While Pearl Roberts and Georgiana Lafrinlere home people also visited.The Wide Awake Hot Lunch Club of Benton 3 closed a; few - weeks # ago., The club 'Seems' to have been quite a „• jsuccess as the daily attendance Was % •' above that * of former years.
