Cases Continued, Appoint ments Made, Divorces Granted. CASE AGAINST GEORGE WRAY IS DISMISSED Grand Jury Reports Thirteen Indictments--Inspects Jail County House The case of the state of Indiana ex rel Pearl] Wray vs. Geo. Wray was dismissed at the request of Pearl Wray, defendant making such promises as caused her to re quest that he be released from cus tody and not prosecuted. Attorney E. 8. Sellars of Monti cello was appointed special judge to hear the case of Jas.O. O’Kear vs. John G. Darnell. A motion by plaintiff to dismiss the case on ac count of lack of jurisdiction was sustained. The $50,000 damage suit of E. W. Frank vs. the Big Four By. Co. was continued until next term The case of Barbara HB. Mentzer vs. Marion Leslie for possession of real estate, Elisabeth M. Leslie and Mary Dillion were made ad ditional defendants. A complaint for divorce was filed by Tiffin J. against Maggie M. Wilson. John L Sanderson and John Raber were appointed executors of the last will and testament of D. T. Sanderson. Wm F. Kingery was appointed executor of the last will and testa ment of Samuel Kingery. Chas. Cresse is acting as grand jury bailiff. A. H. Barnes, administrator of the Ann Ginn estate, filed final settlement and hearing was set for April 21st. Harriett A. Flora was granted a divorce from John M. Flora and given custody of their children. Carroll Roberts asked that the court appoint an attorney to de fend him. The court appointed W. A. Roach, the county attorney for the poor. Separate trials were sought by Keife and Roberts. Ty er has employed R. ©. Pollard and KE. Pruitt to assist in the case. The grand jury after a three day s ession adjourned Wednesday noon, airing the following report: We, the grand jury, duly empan elled at the said term of court re ort to the court that we have been a session three days and report 13 ndictments. We further report that we have visited and inspected the jail and poor farm of said count y. As to the jail of said county we nd it in a very insanitary condit ion and recommend a new heating ystem and think it should be put n the jail by the following winter. e think the jail is cared for in as ood a manner as possible but be fore it is impossible for anyone to keep the jail in such a condition that it will be a fit place to keep TISONE FB. At to the poor farm we find it cared for in the best manner; there is plenty of feed and stock all in good condition; most of the build ings are in much need of repairs or should be replaced by new ones. We would recommend some gener al repairs. We wish to commend the business manager for the man ner in which the place is conduct- Tomas F. Dixon, Foreman. Edwin Srozs, Clerk.
