GIVES CREDITORS HER DOWER.Wife of Banker Plant Surrender* Her Personal Property.Macon, Qa, March 30.—Mr*. Margaret H. Plant, widow of the late Robert II. Plant, has renounced her rJgbt to dower and a year's support for herself and children In a petition filed by her attorneys with the clerk of theUnited States court.*The renunciation Is absolute and voluntary, and Involves about |100,000 to be applied to the discharge of claims against the estate of the dead banker.Hy her dower Mrs. plant was entitled to a one-third life Interest In all real estate In the possession of the late H. II. Plant, at the time of his death. As this real estate was valued at 127-1.000. Mrs. Plant's claim against the estate of her husband would have amounted to nearly $100,000. This she freely applies to the discharge ol her husband’s dc Ids, and further re notmces nil claim to the year’s support which she Is entitled to tinder the law for herself and minor children.
