During the year 1858, in Boston, nine colored persons were married to white women, exactly the same number that! i occurred in the year 1857. There is not an instance reported of the marriage of a white man with a black woman.One of the editors of The Tribune has been visiting the United States Supreme Court at Washington, and says of the jnine Judges he saw there, “eight of, i them looked for all the world like a row of worn out nurses sitting in an ‘Intelligence Office/ waiting to be hired.”Eli Thayer, a republican member of Congress, has a poor opinion of his brethren. He^aysof them :| “Some of the republican party areal ways uneasy. They are never satisfied. When they get to heaven they will not be satisfied.
