Typhoon Marie Is Threat to JapanTOKYO (UP)—Typhoon Marie, the third huge storm in the area in the past two weeks, swept to*Kyushu today with winds of 95 ward Japan’s southernmost island miles per hour reported in it* center.The weather forecasters in Tokyo said the storm would be some 170 miles southeast of Kyushu Sunday, but heavy seas already were smashing against seawalls and heavy rains lashed south east Kyushu.The storm covers a radius ofmore than 300 miles. Typhoon June jolted Japan Sept 14 and Typhoon Lorn a hit Sept. 18. They took a total of 108 lives and caused some 300 million dollars damage.
