Alberta scraps monster searchST. P.M L. Alta. (C P) — Plansfor a Halloween day search for a%monster in the waters of Saddle Lake in northeastern Alberta have been scrappedA helicopter crew from the fish and wildlife branch of the Alberta Energy and Natural Resources Department was to fly over the lake todavHut Wayne Brown, a spokesman for the branch, said staff took a look at the lake Tuesdav and discovered it was about two-thirds icecovered.\ crew will probably launch asearch for the elusive creature in t he spring, he said.About 100 different sightings —10 this year — have been reportedbv residents of the area. 175 kilo-metres northeast of Edmonton.The creature has been describedas a hairy, serpentine beast between one and 00 metres long.
