PAUL (CP) — Plans for a Halloween day search for a monster in the waters of Saddle Lake in northeastern Alberta have been scrapped. A helicopter crew from the fish and wildlife branch of the Alberta Energy and Natural Respources Department was to fly over the lake today. But Wayne Brown, a spokesman for the branch, said staff took a look at the lake Tuesday and discovered it was about two-thirds ice-covered.
