■ Karen Denise Aguilera was last seen alive Sept. 18, 1987, in the area of Pikes Peak Avenue and Academy Boulevard, after leaving her sister’s apartment. Her body was discovered May 10 in an open field east of Falcon. Police said the 23-year-old woman had been sexually assaulted.Due to the extreme decomposition of the body, authorities were unable to determine the cause of death.
