McDonald used an axe to cut off its head which was as large as a football.It was believed the “ogopogo” reached the lagoon by swimming through the water intake from the Bow river. jThe fish was about five feet long and Commissioner McDonald cooked some of it for his supper and he said it tasted “grand.”
