J At a meeting of the proprietors of Trcmont Tem*| pic, held Wednesday evening, it was decided toimmediately rebuild Tremont Temple upon plans I furnished by Carl Fehraer, a Boston architect. According to the details ot these plans, the new' structure will, in many respects, be a great improvement upon the old. The mam hall will be one 1 story lower, will be provided with two balconiesar.o will have a seating capacity of about 2,700. The principal entrance will be much broader than the r old one. Stiaisht flights of stairs from the vestibulewill lead to the rear ot the auditorium and the 1 facilities forj exit will be greatly improved. Thenew organ, to oe placed in the rear of a deeper platform than formerly, wilt be a large and tine instrument. The offices upon the second floor, c I under the old auditorium, will be placed in the top of the building over the new hall, and will be ap-* preached by stairs and elevator. The piaus for re-t modeling the Melonaon have not yet been fully de-1 termiued upon. It is not probable that any greatchanges w ill be made in the front of the building, e Operations w ill be commenced at once, and the new* roof will probably be m position before winter sots? in. it is expected that the whole work of recoil-r druction will be completed in about six months.
