Nolan’s Fit si Election Contest.IF there was a more ardent Liberal In Alberta than Jimmie Reilly, who died in Kdinontou the other day, wo would like to know about him Ue belonged to a pioneer Calgary family, his father being prominent iu affairs in the old Territorial days. If wo recall correctly, the father was oneo a candidate iu an election in which A. H. Cross, the brower, and the late 1*. J. Nolan, were his oppououts. The inimitable Irish lawyer was asked at one of his meetings in whose interest be was standing in the election. “Well/* said the K.C., “you have a candidate of the producers (Mr. Cross), a candidate of the retailers (Mr. Reilly), and I want to say I stand before you as a consumer, and if I get the votes of my fellow cone* Jiers, Fll have no trouble in being elected/* Jimmy Reilly, the son, was gifted as a mimic and many an Aiberta audionco has rocked wilb laughter at his tako offs of R.
