The color scheme is particularly striking, even daring, with its goodly amount of antique gold and panelsof elementry colors* The. skill of amaster is in evidence, however, as the blending is so artistically done and so decidedly pleasing that the picture it presents is one of un* describable beauty and luxury.Special care has been given in the selection of the carpet, and the overhanging draperies, both for the stage and the auditorium proper. The draperies and the hanging stage pieces are of expensive silks and velours, creating an air of extravagant luxury with their harmonizing shades.Very approved modern sanitary device has been provided in the equipment of the Sehine State. The heating, cooling and ventilating systems are the best known td modern science, and thousands of cubic feet of fresh air are warmed orcooled every minute by nine tons of radiation or thiry-two hundred feet of water-spraying equipment. The stage equipment is of the latest type in every respect. A ment has been installed, a provision which enables the quick handling of scenery for every’ form of entertainment, size or nature* The stage lighting provisions are in themselves a revelation, and it is possible through the use of the gigantic electrical switeh-board to change the light In any section of the theater to any desired color at any time desired. In designing the Schine State theater the safety of the audience was the predominating factor. One will see *exit doors, - plainly marked, wherever one may. look. These exits lead directly to the street, arid provide more than ample means for emptying the entire auditoritia should the occasion so require, !n an estimated time of 69 seconds. The Schine State theater is un-doubtedly one of the finest theaters to have been erected in Ohio during the past 25 year3. It is a theater of which Sandusky, or any other prominent city in Ohio, can well be proud.
