Now the area has diversified into a general commercial and manufacturing center, and a large part of movie audiences come from local colleges and prep schools that have grown up all around. So the need today is for specialized, highly directionalentertainment, and the answer isPaul Roth is president of the Roth Theatre Circuit, which is opening its new triple theatre in Harrisonburg tonight. The Roth’s 1-2-3 Theatres will bring the total theatre screens in the RothMrs. Luber sold the first tickets for the Roth Theatres Company in 1934 at the opening of their first theatre, The Strand. The Strand Theatre opened for business March 10, 1934. Mrs. Luber, then Reba Ford, was just graduated from Harrisonburg High SchoolThe picture is the first film venture of Reader’s Digest magazine, which is presenting “Tom Sawyer” as a joint effort with United Artists, one of the leading motion picture companies. The film was made as an Arthur P.
