Victoria youth places seventhTORONTO (CP) — Kelly Muncey, a Canadian citizen living in Lakewood, Calif., won the women’s division of an international invitational gymnastics meet Tuesday night at Maple Leaf Gardens.A crowd of 16,261 watched as Miss Muncey, 15, edged Maria Filatova, a 14-year-old competitor from the Soviet Union, by one-tenth of one point with a 37.30 total. Anna Grigoras, 18. of Romania was third with a 36.70 total.Kberhard Gienger. 24, of West Germany won the men’s division finishing with 56.05, one point ahead of ShinzoShiraishi, a 23-year-old Japanese gymnast. Fiodor Kulak-sesov, 18, of the Soviet Union, took third spot with a 54.60 total.Gienger tied with Philip De-lesalle of Victoria, who finished seventh overall, for .first on the pommel horse with a 9.30 score.Gienger swept three oth£r events, scoring 9.70 in the floor exercise, 9.40 on the parallel bars and 9.35 on the rings. Peter Korman, 22, of New Haven, Conn., won the floor exercise with a 9.25 score while Shiraishi took the vault with a 9.25.
