mux a uiciKu tu uiu piuviiiuiai ucunumy.* * *THE RIVER MONSTER captured a mallard duck for breakfast today in Medicine Hat, while the bird’s mate squawked and power-dived at the the whiskered ogopogo to protect its mate. But without avail. This unusual incident is authenticated by A. E. Stanley, supervisor of letter carriers for the local post office branch. It happened in the river by Finlay bridge while Mr. Stanley was enroute to work. He noticed the two wild ducks threshing around near the surface of the water, and then observed the brown head of the “monster.” It had one of the ducks in its mouth, and slowly dragged the terrified bird below thesurface.
