Superintendent Named For Bethalto DistrictsWilbur R. L. Trimpe, Havana, HI., has been appointed superintendent of Civic Memorial High school district 100 and elementary school district 152 in the Bethalto-Cottage Hills area, it was announced Saturday.He succeeds R. N. Pile, who resigned effective May 30 after 30 years as administrator of the grade school district. Since the high school district is new, Trimpe will be the first superintendent.Trimpe was president of the Havana schools for 18 years, prior to which he was principal of Man-ito Grade school, Forest City grade school and taught in the Mason county rural schools.Receiving his bachelor's degree at Western Illinois college in 1942, Trimpe gained his master's at the University of Illinois in 1945.He is married and has a 19-year-old son.
