Sarah Harder to get UW-La Crosse awardSaruh Harder, the director of educational opportunity at the University of Wiseonsin-Eau Claire, will be honored during a May 22 ceremony at her alma mater, UW-La Crosse.Harder, who since 1985 has been president of the American Association of University Women, will receive UW-La C rosse's annual Maurice O. Graff Distinguished Alumnus Award.Long active in women’s issues. Harder was appointed in 1983 as convener of the Wisconsin Women's Council, a statutory commission that studies women's issues. She is a founding member of the W iseonsin Women's Network and a member of several UW System task forces.Harder graduated from UW-La Crosse in 1963 with majors in history and English.
