She was eight and her father would hold a pole in front of her. It didn’t take long for her to establish herself in the diving world after that.She won a few minor championships, was conscripted by iho national diving team and moved to Winnipeg for a year to be tutored under national coach Don Webb. She followed Webb to Ottawa when he moved a year or so later.
