TV Station Wins Okav From CountyGene T. Dyer today got approval from the County Commission of tbn site on which h« proposes to build television station WTVI. This site lies between Forr Fierce and Vero Beach, just north of the truck-weighing station on thr west side of U.S. 1. IDyer’s attorney, B. T. Cooksey said Dyer will now seek the eon sent of tl^e Federal Aviation Agency for construction of a 445-foot transmission lower. The studio also will be located there.Cooksey said actual construction should begin within 30 to 45 days after FAA approval. The FAA is to decide if the tower, which would He some 15,000 feet north of the St. Lucie County Airport, will pose a danger to the operation of aircraft from ihe field.Cooksey said Rader Associates, the firm that drew up a master plan for the development of the airport, has advised Dyer tha; the tower will not interfere, and that the FAA is almost sure to concur with Rader’s findings.The commission needed only to give its assent to construction of the station on a trad in an agriculturally zoned area.• The commission also voted to reply to an inquiry by the Air Coordinating Committee of the Regional Airspace Subcommittee.
