West ShoreChoraleIn Co n certThe West Shore Chorale will present a program of sacred music at Old Stone Church on Maundy Thursday, March 27. at 12:00 noon.This concert will take the place of the usual Lenten Noonday Service at Old Stone, under the auspices of the Greater Cleveland Inter-Church Council.The West Shore Chorale, directed by William Appling, is a chorus devoted to performing high quality music, and has appeared throughout the northern Ohio area.The Chorale was featured on an Easter Music Special by WVIZ-TV in 1974, and has received national recognitionas an outstanding music organization.William Appling is Director of Music with Western Reserve Academy, and serves on the faculties of Case-Western Reserve University and Cleveland Institute of Music.Appling is an accomplished concert pianist in addition to his fine choral directing. He has been with the WSC since 1970, and has molded the group into a finely tuned choral instrument.The program will consist of“Rejoice in the Lamb” and“The Deum” by Benjamin Britten, and selections from Brahms' “Requiem.”The concert is open to the public.
