Wow I but that water was cold I Powever, the rider was not much concerned with the water temperature at ithe time. The whole affair was over in a few seconds To keep the horses from drowning. I was forced to wallow tlhrough five feet of water and mud to get their heads up and throw a rope out to Jim. Isn’t it the struggle to get away from autocratic rule, wherever it pops up, national, state or local?1 can assure you that if the National Park Service makes a mistake, or in any way does wrong, I am going to oppose it I have recently had occasion to oppose certain actions of the Forest Service .in another part of the country, ev-,en though I consider the Forest Sendee an excellent public spirited agency I have frequently had occasion to oppose certain policies of the Fish dnd Wildlife Service, on other questions I have sincerely defended thaj bureau. I hold the same attitude toward the Game and Fish Commission of Wyoming. I do not subscribe, personally, to toe principle “right or wrong, X am for you!” It is only by correcting mistakes, by opposing wrong, wherever it appears, and defending right, that we can build up a decent civilization and preserve our consciences. I reserve the right to criticize the action of any bureau, federal or state, rf I sincerely believe it is wrong. We don’t want to build up an invulnerable hierarchy anywhere. Now let is look at this hunting in national parks, and let us forget the public servants whom we have employed to administer our public estate —state and national.
