Succeeds TrimpeKami I Harden Named I nil 8 Superintendent| BETHALTO - Hermit Harden, assistant superintendent ot Community I ml 8 School District. has been named superintendent of the unit by the Board ot Education. He will replace Wilbur Trimpe who resigned Thursday night.Trimpe's resignation will notbecome effective until Aug. I, a» which time Harden will officially take oxer the superintendent's duties.Harden attended Carnegie Institute of Technology at Pittsburg and obtained a BS degree in mathematics in 1947 from ttieUniversity of Illinois. He took graduate work at the University ot Colorado and received his master's degree in educational administration from Bradley Unix ersity at Peoria.lie began teaching madiemdt-1lt; 3 and science at Havana Community High School at Havana 111., in 1947. He was employed ai Civic Memorial HlgSi School as a mathematics teacher in1931 and became asdsiant superintendent of Unit 8 w 1953.Harden has held the assistant superintendent's post ur to the present, except when hr served as assistant principal ot the Par- d is American High School.
