Hugh Gregg to file for N.H. TV licenseCONCORD, N.H (AP) -A group headed by former Gov. Hugh Gregg plans to compete with a California firm for a license to operate a new television station inConcordGregg says the group will file an application with the Federal Communications Commission before the July 21 deadline. Gregg says he has been thinking about a new TV station for a while,but the application from the California firm — Crosby Telecasters — spurred him to action. He says he wants the new UHF station, Channel 21, to be owned locally.Gregg has declined to identify the others investing in the proposed station. If the New Hampshire group applies in time, the FCC may take several years to choose between the two applicants.
