The hunter and his quarryLast week, local members of the National Audubon Society spent a dayin search of such creatures as theOldsquaw, the Dunlin, and the Purple Sandpiper (in right photo) which summers in the Arctic and winters in Maine. A total of 36U Purple Sandpipers were counted locally as part of a national bird count performed by Audubon Society members throughout the country. (Photos by John F.wing)
