In addition to Media Play, Musicland operates Media Play.com and stores under the names Sam Goody and Sun* const Motion Picture Co.A few weeks ago, Musicland, shortly after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection from its creditors, said it would close 341 of its 741 music and video stores.• If Trans World buys the whole lot, it would nearly double Trans World’s holdings of 800 retail stores under the names FYE, Coconuts Musk and Movies, Strawberries Music, Where-house, CD World, Spec's, Second Spin and Planet Music.The Media Play stores in ShoppingTown Mall in DeWitt and Northern Lights shopping center in Salina aren't part of the deal, said John Sullivan of Trans World.
