Joe Lopez, and guitarist Jimmi Gonzales were nominated in the vocal duo of the year category Mazz also recieved a separate nomination for song of the year with Porque te Quiero” and best orchestra album of the year for •'Number 16 ‘ »Lopez was also named in the male vocalist of the year category.
