The wedding of the week or so took place at New York’s City Hall when His Highness the Prince of Rajpipla and Verne O’Hara, the New York-based British advertising director, queuedup to tie the knot. The bride wore no designer finery; the groom nary a jeweled tunic button,' the kind he wears to glittering events in England. This is the first marriage for the prince, called Pippy, need I add. He met his bride last fall at a lunch at the Knickerbocker Club given by his old friend, Mrs. Stephen Van Rensselaer Strong. Pippy is a whiz on the European turf scene, having first been introduced to a British race course at the age of 5 by his daddy, the late Maharajah of Rajpipla. a friend in the '20s of the old Aga Khan and a polo player of note when that game was at its most glamorous. Avant-garde from his turban to his puttees (which he wouldn’t be caught dead wearing in Britain, by the way), daddy was the first Indian maharajah ever to be a guest at the White House.
