Radio stationestablishedin HancockSpecial to the SuitBAY ST. LOUIS, Miss.—Hancock County’s first radio station becamea reality on Thursdaymorning when stationWPUP began broadcasting on 1190 at sunrise.Don Moore, formerly of New Orleans and now a resident of Bay St. Louis, is president and general manager of the new station which is located on Blue Meadow road in Bay St. Louis.Moore said the station which will have a power output of 5,000 watts and will operate from “sunrise to sunset.” He said the station will feature music,general news and local news. The local news will be designed only for theBay-Waveland Pass Christian area.It is also the intention of the station to broadcast events of local interest in the tri-city area.
