It had 40 employees.It was at the hot corner of Route 11 and East Taft Road in North S\racuse.It jus* w asn't turning enough of a profit, said Bill Bryson, the regional marketing director for the Detroit-based Eiias Brothers Big Boy Restaurants Inc.‘‘We’ve been closing some stores and putting a lot of money into i t other storeseied would it improve enough to return our investment.” said Bryson. “Unfortunately, the decision was made that we didn’t feel the investment made there was the answer.”Two years ago, Eiias Brothers closed two of its four local Big Boy restaurants, in Fasetteville and Liverpool.The restaurants in North Syracuse and another in Camilius remained open.In Camilius, the TJ’s Big Boy eventually became an independent franchise. It remains open and operating across from Fairmount Fair shopping center.Bryson said the North Syracuse property and building has been sold and will be used by a so-far unnamed retailer.
