Lieutenant Robin M. Dashiell enlisted in the National Guards of In-i diana May 30, 1917. August S, lilt;he was mustered into Federal service at Indianapolis, September 13, 1917 he was ordered to Camp Shel-1 by, Hattiesburg, Miss., where he was assigned to the 113 Engineers. May 15, 1918 he was ordered to the Officers training camp at Camp Lee Vir-jginia receiving his commission as 2ndLieutenant June 4, 1918. June 5, 1918 j he was assigned to Company B, 312th I Engineers at Camp Pike, Arkansas.!June 16, 1918 he was ordered to | Camp DLx, New Jersey where he re- j mained until August 22 when he sail-1 ed for France. On September 8, 1918 he arrived in France. After several; w'eeks duty at Pons, France he was 1 ordered to an Engineers school where he remained for five weeks. Before reaching his Regiment the Armistice was signed, at which time he was in Paris. A few days later he reached his regiment which was then at St. Sulpice, France. January 1, 1919 hewas assigned to reconstruction workin the vicinity of Bordeaux remaining there until June 1, 1.919. Juno 30, 1919 he arlived in N. Y. and received his discharge in Washington, j D. C. on July 7, 1919.
