Station s fate still up in air after hearingBy RICK BENTIJCYTV tditorJust days before its first anniversary of going on the air, the fate of KDOB-TV, Channel 45, was debated and discussed in bankruptcy court Wednesday with the final decision left pending.The chief area of debate was the proposed purchase of the financially troubled station by country music performer Buck Owens for (4.5 million after the filing of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy by Dorothy Owens Broadcasting on Oct. 27.Owens made his offer to purchase the station from his sister, KDOB-TV owner and general manager Dorothy Owens, in November.lawyers for the creditors argued the $4-5 million price tag might not be sufficient to cover all debts.
