industrial.Air first programStation WPAW, East Syracuse, will air its first programtomorrow at 10 a.m. The daytime station will operate from 3000 Erie Blvd. E. with transmitting towers on Route 290, Town of DeWitt.The new station staff consists entirely of local residents. Claude (Red) Parton is president and treasurer with Albert R. Webb, vice president and William H. Lynch, secretary.A number of local radio personalities will present programs beginning at 7:30 Tuesday during December.Len Allen and Jack Murphy, will conduct-daily broadcasts of variety music. Patricia Karvon-is, WPAW’s women's director, will present a daily women's show and a daily country-western show will be emceed by John Bradley. Parton will air two daily sports broadcasts. ,.Jaza programs, services from DeWitt Community Church on Sunday morning and a broadcast from LeMoyne College will be heard each Saturday morning.Application for the broadcasting license was filed by Wide Water Broadcasting Co. Inc. in June of 19C0, The Federal Communications Commission granted the station a construction permit last May.
