Aug. 28. —Ufr— Claude Pepper, Democratic nominee (or the United States senate.will deliver the address at the University of Florida August, commencement exercises tombrrow morning, university officials, announced today.President John J. Tigert of the university, will award the degrees.There are 46 candidates for normal diplomas, 60 for bachelor's degrees, and 11 candidates for degrees in graduate school.Two doctor of philosophy degrees will also be conferred. Louis Gardner Mac Dowell, jr., Melbourne, and Marshall Evertt Smith, are to be the two recipients of the degrees.Students making phi kappa phi, highest scholastic fraternity, are as follows: Agnes Ballard, West Palm Beach; Edna Freeman Hodges, Tampa; Ida Ruth McLendon, Jacksonville; Caroline B.
