Grace Hits Yokohama'TOKYO, Aug. 19 (UP) — Heavy w a v e S' battered the coast and tied up shipping inthe Orient’s largest commercial port of Yokohama today as advance winds from fast-weakening typhoon Grace hit the Tokyo area.Giant breakers lashed the Japan Sea coast from Osaka up to the north of Tokyo, and flooded low-lying sections in Shizuoka, around Lake Humana and in Tokyo itself.Grace, which packed 115-mile-an-hour winds’ when it hit Kyushu early yesterday morning, was dissipating fast, however. Early this afternoon, itwas located between Osaka and Nagoya, and getting weaker as it meandered in a general easterly direction,.Latest reports iss’ued by police listed 17 persons killed on Kyushu, 43 missing and 49 injured.This morning Grace was 30miles southeast of Osaka (Continued on Page 6 Col. 1)
