T. Currelly, curator of the Royal Ontario museum.“Ogopogo” 1b the name of a sea monster alleged to inhabit the Okana* gan lake, located in British Columbia.Those who have .seen the mysterious monster declare that it has a headmuch like the head of a sheep. It has a pointed nose. The body of the Ash is like an extended mud guard of aaautomobile.“Mere rubbish,” is the comment of Prof. Currelly. “N5ne of the specialists in this line of work credit for a moment the story of the monster.”One possible explanation of the phenomenon is advanced. The actions of the waters which would give the appearance of a large monster swimming about. There might be a spring underneath in an underground channel, when the snow melted in the mountains and pours down this channel. The increased flow of water ( might occasionally result in the water ( rising above the syphon and a current would appear on the surface. The channel might be only a couple of feet in diameter and the result might appear as If there was a large monster swimming about. The conditions leading to such an occurrence would arise possibly only once a year or so. Thli would explain the rarity with which the action is seen.
